Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Richard Oliver
Dr. Richard Oliver opened this practice in La Palma over 30 years ago. He followed in his father’s footsteps when he decided to become a dentist. He was raised in Southern California and attended the University of Southern California for his undergraduate degree and USC school of dentistry.
After graduating he spent a year and a half doing dentistry in Korea. Here he was able to help train Korean dentists as well as work with a very under served population.
Upon returning to the United States, he practiced dentistry with his father in Los Angeles for a few years before coming to Orange County to start his own practice. More than 30 years later he is still serving this community.
Dr. Oliver has been blessed with many opportunities to provide dentistry to those in need in areas such as South Africa, Swaziland, Mexico and Honduras. He values these experiences because he is able to give back to others in a helpful way. The friendships he has developed through these journeys are invaluable to him.
With a passion for esthetic, restorative and implant dentistry, Dr. Oliver feels that his ability to help his patients regain function and improve the look of their smile makes dentistry as rewarding to him as ever.
Dr. Oliver has four children, two of whom practice dentistry with him in this office. Five grandchildren keep him busy and bring him endless joy.
Dr. Josh Rorem
Dr. Josh sees most of our pediatric patients. This gives him and his team a unique opportunity to help kids develop a positive attitude towards seeing the dentist. He treats all of his patients with kindness and respect. The entire family is invited into the treatment room which allows the child to know that he or she is in a safe, loving, family environment.
Dr. Josh believes that parents are an essential part of the treatment planning and decision process. Through all these things, Dr. Josh is able to create an environment that many kids truly enjoy, making the trip to the dentist something to look forward to instead of dreading.
The relationships that Dr. Josh creates with his patients often last into adulthood so he regularly sees adult “children” as well.
With an emphasis on prevention Dr. Josh and his team focus on getting kids through their childhood and adolescents with as little dental treatment as possible, setting them up for a life time of excellent dental health and needing less maintenance in the future.
Dr. Mike Roberts
Dr. Mike Roberts grew up in Southern California and after attending Cal Poly Pomona received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA. He and his wife Sherrie have been blessed with three fantastic daughters and six grandsons.
He has thoroughly enjoyed his thirty plus years in dentistry and has been privileged to serve as an officer in his local dental society and as Executive Director of the Christian Dental Society and later as Southern California Area Director of the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
He has enjoyed mentoring dental students at both USC and UCLA, where me meets regularly with student groups and takes groups of students, dentists and physicians on annual mission trips to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Over the past 20 years he has lead medical and dental teams on more than 100 outreaches to many countries in Latin America, Asia and Africa. He has also served at the Children’s Dental Center here in Southern California and on Native American Reservations in Arizona.

I get great satisfaction working with my patients to move them from being fearful and hesitant about their dental care to being trusting and genuinely excited about their healthy new smiles and improved dental function. My greatest joy in dentistry is meeting the wonderful patients who trust me with their dental care and work with me and our dental team to create and maintain healthy, beautiful smiles!”
Dr. Jessica Oliver
Dr. Jessica Oliver-Castillo grew up in Orange County, She received her bachelors degree in Psychology from The University of San Diego. She attended The University of Southern California School of Dentistry. After graduating in 2005, Dr. Jessica joined our practice. She has two young daughters and loves being a mom.
“From the time I was fairly young my father brought me along on some of his dental mission trips to Mexico or Central America. I got to see firsthand the impact a dentist can make in an under served community. Seeing what he was able to do was a huge motivating factor in my decision to become a dentist."
I am so thankful to have the opportunity to serve my patients. I love what I do. I love the relationships I have with my patients. The opportunity to help them in some small or large way is truly a gift to me."
With an emphasis on preventative and minimally invasive dentistry Dr. Jessica works with her patients to establish optimal oral health which leads to less dentistry needed in the future. With a gentle touch and a love for esthetic and restorative dentistry she enjoys the chance to help a person regain former function or improve their appearance.
Dr. Nathan Oliver
Dr. Nathan Oliver grew up in Orange County and knew from age 5 that he wanted to be a dentist, following in his father and grandfathers footsteps. He went to school locally and got his BS in Biology at Cal Poly Pomona and went on to graduate from USC School of Dentistry where he was one of only sixteen students to be part of the Esthetic Select. This opportunity allowed him to hone the skills needed for excellent esthetic dentistry.
Dr. Nathan’s passion and skill for all things technical has been a real asset for our office. Whether it is new digital cameras or our CAD/CAM unit he keeps the technological side of the practice running well.
Dr. Nathan was lucky enough to assist his father for many years while he provided dentistry in areas such as Mexico and Honduras. And more recently has also been blessed to provide care to patients in some of those very same areas.
We are fortunate to have Dr. Nathan’s wonderful wife Sarah working here in the office as well.
