We look forward to welcoming you to our office. We believe this first visit is vitally important. It is a chance for us to begin building our relationship. We see our patients as part of our dental team. You are an integral part of the treatment planning process and we therefore feel it is very important that you are well informed and comfortable with all your dental decisions.
This first appointment affords you an opportunity to get to know us and see that we will be the right office to help you with your dental needs. This appointment also allows us to get to know you. In addition to learning about your dental needs we would like an opportunity to learn more about you.
We believe strongly in preventive dentistry. There are many wonderful methods available that can help prevent or slow down the development of both dental decay and periodontal disease. Preventing problems before they get started is the most conservative, least expensive and most comfortable way to handle your dental needs. When a problem does arise, the earlier it can be treated the better. This allows us to use the least invasive method of treatment available.
At your first visit
Ruth or one of our other wonderful treatment coordinators will show you around our office and answer any questions you have. A typical first appointment for an adult will last about an hour and consist of dental x-rays, a comprehensive oral exam, and important data gathering. This information will allow us to help determine what type of professional hygiene appointment would best suit you, which we can then schedule for your next appointment. It will also allow us to identify any possible dental needs and determine the best possible course of action.
If you would like a chance to see our office, meet our team and our doctors prior to scheduling this first appointment, please feel free to give us a call to set up a time to come by or just stop on by. We look forward to meeting you.
